Wednesday
A fine morning for many parts of the country. Good spells of sunshine over much of England, Scotland and eastern Wales. Eastern parts of England may have more cloud, although this should be broken. Cloud and outbreaks of rain in Ireland, some of this heavy and thundery. The cloud and rain edges eastwards through the day, reaching Wales and southwest England in the afternoon, this again thundery. Staying fair elsewhere with further spells of sunshine. Temperatures reaching 17 to 25C.

Wednesday Night
Much of England and Scotland stay dry overnight with clear spells. However, thicker cloud in western Scotland, Wales, southern and southwestern England as well as Ireland. There will be outbreaks of rain here, this heavy at times in Wales and southwest England. Murky in western areas too. Damp with outbreaks of rain in eastern Ireland, although drier to the west. Lows at 10 to 16C.

Thursday
An area of low pressure to the south of England on Thursday with higher pressure to the north of Scotland. A weakening front in southern England and Wales as wel as parts of Ireland. This brings cloud and outbreaks of rain with low cloud on the hills. Drier further north and across much of Scotland as well. The best of any bright or sunny spells through more northern parts of the UK, especially in the northwest. Turning brighter in more southern areas as the day progresses. Tops at 18 to 24C.

Friday
A deep area of low pressure is expected to be close to western Ireland on Friday. This pushes strong winds and rain eastwards through Ireland and into the western UK early Friday, this area of rain then reaching eastern England and southern and central Scotland through the afternoon. Drier in the far north of Scotland, rain here in the evening. Brighter weather with heavy showers following into Ireland, Wales and southwest England. The showers merging into longer periods of rain in Ireland through the afternoon. Highs at 17 to 22C.
