Drizzly rain affects Ireland & western Scotland, turning persistent over the West Highlands. Becoming murky in south-west England & west Wales. A southerly breeze will freshen in the west. Highs 18 to 21C north & west, 23 to 25C central & south-east England, feeling humid.
Saturday night Strengthening winds for the west & north of Britain & Ireland into the evening and night, reaching gale force in exposed areas of the far north-west. The breeze freshening too for central & southern regions. Persistent rain for several hours in western Scotland as fronts pass north-east. Patchy light rain for a few hours on western hills of England & Wales. Dry for central, south & eastern areas. Mild and humid, temperatures 13 to 17C.
Sunday An active area of low pressure passes north of Scotland, bringing strong winds to northern Britain, gales coasts & hills, gusts over 50mph in exposure, or stronger on mountains. Lighter winds in south, although breezy. Dry overall, and plenty of sunshine. A weak cold front moves south-east, bringing cloudy skies for a time. Showery in western Scotland. Temperatures 16 to 19C north & west, 20 to 23C Midlands, up to a humid 25 or 26C south-east.
Monday Low pressure will be centred north-east of Britain. A cold front sinks southwards across the country. Showery rain in northern regions will become more extensive, spreading south & east through the day, to give locally frequent rain, some heavy bursts. Sunny spells, best south & east in morning. Breezy, winds south-west veering north-westerly. Temperatures 19 to 22C in the south, 15 to 18C in the north, dropping a few degrees during rain.
