A broad and mild southwest flow affects all parts of the UK and Ireland through today. There will be heavy periods of rain in Ireland and western Scotland this morning, these may bring a risk of localised flooding. Other areas will be dry with a fair amount of cloud. Some drizzle affecting western coasts of Wales and England. A few brighter spells developing in the drier conditions in central and eastern areas. Little changes into this afternoon with further periods of heavy rain in Ireland and western Scotland. Winds could reach gale force here. Drizzle over western coasts of Wales and England. Drier for other areas, some bright or sunny spells. Highs at 15C in the brighter spells, otherwise 10 to 13C.

Tuesday Night
Cloud and rain in Ireland and much of Scotland tonight, this heavy at times. More rain and drizzle affecting the west of Wales and southwest England as well as northwest England, Drier in central and eastern areas with a strong southwest wind. Lows near a very mild 6 to 10C.
 

Wednesday
Another damp day to come across much of central and southern Scotland, northwest England, wales and southwest England. Periods of rain here, heavy in the morning but tending to mease into the afternoon. Rain too in the east of Ireland, again this tending to ease. Drier in central and eastern areas of England, although some low cloud and drizzle affects southern coasts. Becoming brighter and drier in western Ireland. Highs at 10 to 16C.

Thursday
Early morning cloud across East Anglia and southeast England clearing. There could be some drizzle affecting southern coasts. Much brighter for northern and western England, Wales and Scotland as well as Ireland. Heavy showers in western Scotland where it will be windy too. Showers affecting western Ireland too. Other areas staying dry with sunny spells, these lasting well into the afternoon. Highs at 8 to 13C.
