Low pressure moves to the south of England on Saturday with high pressure north of Scotland, allowing for easterly winds to spread to all parts of the country. Snow continues to affect eastern areas of Scotland pushing into central and southern areas with drier conditions towards the west. A mix of rain and sleet, snow possible over higher ground, through northeast England. Rain looks to affect central and southern England, particularly the southeast through the afternoon. This turns increasingly wintry through the evening. Highs at 1C in Scotland but feeling colder in the wind. Highs at 6 to 7C in England, perhaps 8 or 9C to the far south.

Saturday Night
A mostly cloudy night across the UK and Ireland with the best of any clear skies to the far northwest. Snow showers feed into eastern parts of England and Scotland while an area of more prolonged, heavier snowfall is expected to develop over southeast England accompanied by very strong winds. This could make for treacherous conditions here. Overnight lows widely at -2 to 2C, -10C in sheltered parts of the Scottish Highlands.

Sunday
Becoming very cold across the country through Sunday as the east to northeast wind persists. Further snow flurries affecting eastern coasts while more persistent snow continues across East Anglia and parts of southeast England. Always tending to be drier and brighter in the west which is where the best of any sunshine will be. Highs at -1 to 4C overall, but feeling much colder in the wind.

Monday
A brisk easterly flow on Monday keeps things feeling cold, bitterly cold in areas exposed to the wind. Winds touching gale force at times for coastal parts of eastern Scotland and northeast England. Frequent snow showers blow in across eastern and northern Scotland, eastern England and into eastern parts of northern Ireland too. The best of the sun to the northwest. High temperatures at just -1 to 3C.
