Frequent showers merging in to longer spells of rain at times with blustery winds too across northwest Scotland as well as northwestern parts of Northern Ireland. Possible showers affecting northwest England and west Wales at times. The best of the sunshine in the east and south of the country. Highs at 8 to 12C.
Friday Night Overnight, some showers affecting far western areas but it will be largely dry, though with strengthening winds and building cloud. Lows at 4 to 7C.
Saturday High pressure east of the country on Saturday with low pressure west of Ireland. A cold and frosty start for many central and eastern areas. Cloudier skies with strong winds, a risk of gales, in the west and outbreaks of rain pushing eastwards across the country. Far eastern areas of England staying dry until evening. Highs at a slightly milder feel of 9 to 12C.
Sunday Low pressure west of Scotland on Sunday. An area of gale force winds and heavy rain passing east overnight. Blustery showers following from the west, most over Ireland and the west of England, Scotland and Wales. Some rain lingering across the far southeast of England as we head into the afternoon. Highs at 8 to 12C.
