A largely cloudy day with outbreaks of rain across the country, though rain does look to clear much of England and Wales later in the day with some sunny intervals developing. An increasingly windy day with gale force to severe gale force winds for some. Highs at a slightly milder 12 to 15C.
 

Monday Night
Continuing very windy initially before winds ease back. A band of rain will push from west to east with only far eastern most coastal counties seeing rain by dawn. Showery rain pushing behind on to western areas. Lows at 7 to 12C for most, cooler across northwest Scotland and milder through SE England.
 

Tuesday
Overnight rain will have almost cleared all eastern areas by first thing on Tuesday to allow for a bright day for many though blustery, heavy and frequent showers to affect western areas. Still a brisk wind about. Highs 11 to 15C.

 
 
 

Wednesday
Outbreaks of rain and showers should ease through the day creating mostly dry weather and sunny spells on Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure builds in. Highs at 10 to 14C.
