Monday
With high pressure still around expect a largely dry and sunny day again on Monday, once mist and fog lift. Cloud will build, however, across north and northwest Scotland through the day ahead of a front moving in. During the afternoon expect outbreaks of rain across the Northern Isles and the Western Isles. Warm in the south with highs between 21 to 25C. Cooler further north with highs at 17C.

Monday Night
Overnight, cloud will continue to thicken across the north and in the west as patchy outbreaks of rain move in here. Rain turning heavy later over the Northern and Western Isles. Dry for most areas and clear skies expected across much of England and Wales. Lows around 13C in the south and 9C in the north while chillier over higher ground.
 

Tuesday
A cold front pushes from northwest to southeast across the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. This will bring spells of rain to north and west Scotland, Northern Ireland and west Ireland in the morning, turning heavy and prolonged here at times. Rain will then spread southeastwards in the afternoon but turn lighter and patchier as it does so. Southeast England should stay dry with a good deal of sunshine throughout the day. Turning cooler in the north with highs around 13 to 16C here. Staying warm still in the south and southeast with temperatures here between 20 to 24C.

Wednesday
A cloudy and wet morning across central and east England as heavier rain moves through here. Sunny spells and showers elsewhere. In the afternoon rain still affecting parts of eastern England but largely dry across the rest of England and much of Wales as well as eastern Scotland. Rain, however, pushing into Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland as well as west Wales and southwest England. Strengthening winds here too. A cooler day for all with highs at 18C in the southeast, ranging between 14 to 17C across southern and central England and ranging between 10 to 14C further north and west.
