Rain spreads in northern and western Scotland today, but drier and brighter in the east with sunny spells. Broken cloud and some sunshine in much of eastern and southern England. Always more cloud in the west. This afternoon sees a wet one in western Scotland with some rain onto northern coasts of Ireland. It should stay dry for most other areas with the best of any brightness always to the east and south. Feeling very warm in the sunshine. Highs at 25C in southeast England, widely 21 to 23C but just 14C in northwest Scotland.

Tuesday Night
A band of patchy rain will be moving south through southern Scotland and the north and west of Ireland tonight. The rain reaching northern England and Wales as well as shte south and east of Ireland by morning. Dry for most of the rest of England and Wales. Cool in eastern and southern Scotland. Showers for northern and western Scotland. Lows at6C in central Scotland, 14C in southern England.

Wednesday
A weak front through eastern, central and southern England and Wales will be bringing some broken cloud and outbreaks of rain on Wednesday morning. These outbreaks of rain should be clearing southwards into the afternoon. Brighter and cooler weather in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland although with some showers on northern and western coast. The brighter weather will spread southwards during the day and all areas will feel cooler. A breezy day for northern and western Scotland. Highs at 24C oin southern England, 14C in northwest Scotland.

Thursday
A ridge of high-pressure affects much of the UK and Ireland on Thursday. They will be cloud and outbreaks of rain in northern and western Scotland where it will be breezy to. There could be some drizzle in Northwest Ireland as well. For most areas it will be a bright day with broken cloud and sunny spells. The best of the sunshine in eastern and southern parts of England. WEstern coasts of Wales and northwest England as well as southwest England could see more low cloud. Highs at 16C in northwest Scotland, 20C in southeast England.
