Staying dry
Sunshine, some fog

Tuesday
A strong area of high pressure will be centred over south-eastern England, bringing a fair day across all of Britain & Ireland. Plenty of sunshine, although some fog patches are possible in the morning. High level cloud may turn things rather hazy in the south-west. Thicker cloud may affect the north-west. Light winds for most, although a southerly breeze affects the north & west. Highs 5 to 9C.

Tuesday night
Clear skies and light winds for many areas overnight. A southerly breeze for Scotland & western coasts. Some shallow fog patches forming in central-eastern England. A touch of frost possible, lowest temperatures 0 to 2C for towns and cities, or dropping just below freezing in rural areas. Generally milder around the coasts.

Wednesday
Staying dry for all as high pressure remains in charge, centred toward the south-east. A fresh breeze on English Channel coasts, and also across Scotland, but light winds in central & eastern Britain. Some early fog patches, otherwise plenty of sunshine. The far north-west may keep areas of low cloud. Temperatures 4 to 6C in central & northern regions, up to 9 or 10C in the west & south-west.

Thursday
Fair weather continues for much of the country. Plenty of sunshine, but fog patches in low-lying central areas may be slow to clear. Light winds for most, but a fresher south-westerly breeze affects Scotland & Northern Ireland, bringing thicker cloud, and a little rain to the West Highlands. Temperatures between 3 and 9C, coolest where fog lingers, mildest in far south-west.
