A cold but bright start to Sunday morning for many areas. Always more cloud in eastern parts of England. Rain affecting northern Scotland, some of it heavy. Most other areas should be dry, although an isolated charter could occur in the western coast of Wales, England and Ireland. Little changes this afternoon, although the rain does clear from northern Scotland. The best sunshine in central and western areas with more cloud in the east. One or two showers affecting western coasts and hills. Highs at 7 to 9C.

Sunday Night
Clearing skies tonight leading to a frost by morning for many. Cloud in the far east slowly clearing away. Increasing cloud in Ireland, edging eastwards and bringing rain by morning to the south and west as well as the far southwest of England. Lows at -1 to 3C.

 
 
 

Monday
Rain through Monday morning across much of southern Ireland, southwest England and southern Wales. Drier elsewhere with some sunshine in the north and east. The front bringing the rain edges slowly east with Northern Ireland, Wales and much of southwest England turning wet into the afternoon. Drier further north and east, some sunshine still here. Brighter and windier for a time in western Ireland, although heavy showers and severe gales arriving in the far west. Tops near 7 to 9C.

Tuesday
A band of rain edges slowly east into Tuesday to be through eastern areas of the country on Tuesday morning, most of it light and patchy by then. Drier weather in the west, some sunshine in Ireland although cloudy elsewhere. The rain slowly fades from eastern areas although leaves it cloudy and rather murky here. Sunnier spells in western England, Wales and western Scotland as well as much of Scotland. Highs at 7 to 11C and feeling milder.
