Showers heavy in west, wintry over high ground.

Saturday
A rather cloudy and windy day for most with frequent showers, these turning wintry over higher ground, but only slushy accumulations are expected. Some thundery showers are possible especially for the northwest. It will feel colder than of late with maximum temperatures at 7C in north, and 9C in south.
 


Saturday Night
It will be generally a rather cloudy evening and night with scattered showers, these gradually becoming lighter and few in number, and clearing from most areas on the early hours of Sunday. A longer spell of rain is possible for northern Scotland overnight. Isolated patches of frost are expected overnight especially in the more sheltered inland places, with a risk of icy stretches. Minimum temperatures at 2C in north and 7C in south.


Sunday
Eastern coasts will start the day fairly cloudy with some light rain, this soon clearing to leave dry conditions with some bright or sunny spells. Over central areas the day will start dry but increasing cloudy. Over Ireland expect outbreaks of rain, this spreading east England and Wales through the afternoon along with strengthening winds. Scotland will remain fairly dry with a few showers. Maximum temperatures at 7-9C in north, but 10-11C in south. Overnight frost in Scotland.


Monday
A mostly cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, at first over the southern parts, but this spreading north through the afternoon. Some snow is possible over high ground in Scotland, and maybe with some sleet even down to lower levels in the evening. Breezy with maximum temperatures at 4C in north, but 8C in south. Frost developing overnight away from the east coast.
