A weak ridge of high pressure affects Ireland and the UK through Wednesday. There will be cloud and some outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the west, with some low cloud and hill fog affecting western coasts and hills. Tending to be dry in the east and south, with some brighter os sunny spells here. Some brighter spells in eastern and southern Scotland too. It may be that western Ireland will have a few sunny spells later in the afternoon. Highs at 15 to 21C.

Wednesday Night
Some clear skies across East Anglia and southeast England through tonight. Outbreaks of patchy rain in northern England and Wales. Broken cloud in Scotland and Ireland, most rain in the far northwest of Scotland. Lows near 8 to 10C.

 
 
 

Thursday
A front will be bringing reain into northern and western Scotland on Thursday morning. This is going to be reaching Northern Ireland too. Some cloud over western parts of England and Wales, perhaps with some drizzle on hills. Brighter and drier for eastern and southern England. The afternoon sees more cloud and rain in Scotland and the northern half of Ireland. Some patchy rain for central and western England and Wales. Tending to be brighter and drier in the east and south. Highs at 15C in rain in northwest Scotland and western parts of Wales and England, 20 to 23C where the sun breaks through the cloud.

Friday
Lower pressure is expected to be over the UK on Friday. This brings cloud and a risk of some heavy showers or longer spells of rain. These affecting many parts of England, Wales and Ireland as well as southern Scotland. Central and northern parts of Scotland will be brighter and drier with some sunny spells, a few showers and more cloud in the east. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 23C in eastern England.
