Tuesday
Snow continues to fall in much of central and northern Scotland this morning, some of it heavy over the Grampians and Highlands. The snow turns to rain for the southern Uplands. Some heavy bands of showers moving north through Ireland and into the west of Wales, then to southwest Scotland this morning and early afternoon. Tending to be drier elsewhere with some sunny spells developing and it should be dry apart from an isolated heavy shower. Always staying cloudy and damp in most of Scotland. Highs at a cold 3C in northwest Scotland, but at very mild 14C in southern and eastern England.

Tuesday Night
A wet night across much of central and northern Scotland with further snow over the Highlands. Showers will be affecting western coasts of England and Wales with some more persistent rain across southern Ireland and later running into northwest England. Showers too later in the night across the Midlands and southern England, these passing east fairly quickly. Lows at 0C in central Scotland, 7C in southern England.

Wednesday
Low pressure is in control of the weather again on Wednesday. Areas of showers and rain rotating around the low. These showers and rain could be heavy and thundery at times, although some sunny spells in between. Showers could fall as snow over the hills of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Cold in the north and west, milder east and south. Highs at 6C in Ireland and northern Scotland, 10 to 12C in England and Wales.es and Ireland but nearer 6C in central and northern Scotland where rain may linger longer.

Thursday
A ridge of high pressure over the country on Thursday, although low pressure to the west.The low pressure brings wind and rain in Ireland and western Scotland with some drizzle on western coasts and hills too. Eastern and southern areas tending to be drier with some sunny spells. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 9 to 12C in southern England and Wales.
