Saturday
Extensive low cloud and murk to start the morning, most persistent in western areas. Patchy drizzly rain, focused toward the west & south-west, where it will stay generally damp. Turning wetter in north-west Scotland. Some brighter skies may develop in eastern Britain, although sunshine generally rare. A light northwesterly breeze. Not as cold as previous days, but still cool at 5 or 6C for many places, up to 10C in the far south-west.

Saturday night
A cold front will move south across Britain overnight, bringing outbreaks of rain, heaviest in western areas of England & Wales. Drizzly rain for southern counties. Rain should clear from Scotland, and cloud should break toward the east of the Highlands, perhaps the Borders and north-east England before dawn, where a touch of frost is possible, plus local fog patches. Light winds from the north-west. Temperatures 3 to 7C.

Sunday
Weak fronts draped across southern England, Wales and Northern Ireland produce murky skies and patchy rain or drizzle. West & northern Scotland will be also grey and damp. Rainfall amounts generally small. Northern England and southern Scotland may see some cloud breaks and a little sun to the east of high ground. Winds staying light northwesterly. Slightly milder than previous days at 6 to 9C for most, nearer 11C in the south-west.

Monday
High pressure centred toward the south-west brings a fairly quiet day. A lot of cloud, and some lingering mist and fog patches for inland central & southern England. Patchy rain or drizzle around coasts in the north-west, otherwise dry. Best of any bright or sunny spells to the east of high ground in northern Britain. Light west to northwesterly winds, freshening in the north. Fairly mild, 7 to 11C, cooler where fog persists.
