Dry, some sun, mild
Foggy nights and mornings

Saturday
High pressure brings settled weather to all regions. Low level fog in the morning may be slow to clear for some areas. Hazy sunshine breaking through, best in central & south-east England. Low cloud and hill fog for west & north-western areas, locally a little drizzle. Cloud breaks and some sun for the north-east. Light winds overall. Reaching 16 to 18C by afternoon in brighter spells, nearer 13 or 14C where it stays dull.

Saturday night
A rather damp atmosphere plus light winds into the evening and night means fog patches will reform for many areas. Generally murky. No rain for most of the country, but drizzle or light rain is likely for north-west Scotland. Lowest temperatures 6 to 9C, whilst some towns and coastal districts will stay at 10C or above.

Sunday
High pressure remains in charge. Dry for most places. Early fog patches may be slow to clear some low-lying areas. Hazy sunshine breaking through, best east & south. Patchy rain in north & west of Scotland, also the far west of Ireland. Light winds overall, but expect a breeze from the east on the south coast, and a southerly flow in the north-west. Top temperatures 14 to 17C, coolest in the north-west, and where fog lingers.

Monday
A front encroaches into Scotland & Northern Ireland bringing some persistent rain. Dry and mild for England & Wales, fog patches in the morning, locally dense and persistent for many hours, but hazy sun breaking through. Light winds for most, but a brisk easterly breeze affects the south coast. Daytime highs 13 to 17C, and staying mild into Halloween evening.
