Thunder south later
Patchy drizzle west

Thursday
Rather a misty start to the morning, some fog in northeast England with drizzle here too. The mist and drizzle burning back to the coasts through the day. Sunny spells to the south and feeling warm here too. Thicker cloud bringing some drizzle into Ireland and western Scotland. This afternoon sees the rain in western Scotland becoming more persistent, although tending to fade in Ireland. Most of England and wales will be dry, although some low cloud affecting eastern coasts of England and the western coasts of Wales and southwest England. As temperatures rise some thundery showers may affect southern and central England, these edging north. Tops at 28C in eastern England, 17C on coasts with lower cloud and Ireland.

Thursday Night
Thundery showers over central and southern England this evening, these perhaps becoming more widespread as the night progresses in central and eastern areas. A band of rain will be affecting western Scotland, this edging into northwest England and Wales, passing east in the early hours. Drier weather then follows from the west with conditions turning fresher too. Lows at 18C in southeast England, 9C in western Wales, western Scotland and Ireland.

Friday
A front extending from eastern Scotland to eastern England on Friday. This is going to be bringing a damp day with periods of rain, some of them heavy in the east at first. The rain probably continues into the afternoon and early evening, slowly clearing to the east. Drier weather follows into other areas as a ridge of high pressure builds and sunny spells develop. Just a few showers affecting western areas, mostly western Scotland and western Ireland. A much fresher day with highs at 15 to 19C.

Saturday
A ridge of high pressure is maintained through Saturday. This brings more fair weather to most with some reasonable spells of sunshine. Morning mist may take some time to clear England and Wales, but once it has the day should be largely fair. Cloud and rain may affect western Scotland and western Scotland with the winds increasing here. Highs at 15 to 20C.
