Brighter conditions for many on Thursday. Northern and eastern coastal parts of Scotland will see showers becoming more frequent and occasionally heavier. These will turn wintry first over higher ground with accumulations, then down to low levels. A few showers into Wales, central and southwestern parts of England. Highs of 3C in the north and 6C in the south. Frost overnight, especially across the north and east.

Thursday Night
Frost sets in fairly widely overnight. Snow showers continue into northern Scotland and along the east and west coast, a risk of a broader area of wintry precipitation in the later hours over Wales. Lows of 0 to -2C for most, feeling very cold and raw in the northerly wind.
 

Friday
Cold on Friday with showers affecting northern and eastern coastal areas, as well as feeding into the Irish Sea and Welsh coasts. Showers will be wintry, snowy where reaching further inland with accumulations in northern Scotland. Further south and inland, conditions will be mostly dry and sunny. Highs of 1C in the north and 3C in the south, locally 5C in southernmost coastal areas. Widespread frost developing overnight.

Saturday
Another cold and showery day, with showers again mostly confined to coastal areas away from the south. Showers will be frequent and heavy at times, turning wintry down to low levels with some accumulations likely. Fewer showers over Ireland and the Irish Sea than prior days. Often sunny for southern Scotland, England, and Wales. Highs of 0C in the north and 3C in the south, many upland areas will not reach above freezing all day. Widespread frost developing early in the evening.
