Saturday
Brisk westerly winds across the British Isles as low pressure is centred to the north of Scotland. A wet day in the west Highlands with some heavy falls of rain here. Showery elsewhere, with the most frequent showers in western areas in the morning, extending eastwards through the day. Some heavy bursts with a chance of isolated thunder, but mostly moving through quickly. Gales over hills and around northwestern coasts. Only 9 to 13C in the north, highs 15 to 18C in south.


Saturday night
Westerly winds continue overnight with further prolonged rain in western Scotland, plus rain on and off across northwest England and west Wales. A few showers spreading east across the Pennines. Generally dry toward the east and south of Britain, with variable cloud and some clear breaks. Temperatures dipping to 7 to 10C, or milder around southern & western coasts.
 


Sunday
Pressure begins to build from the south, whilst a general westerly breeze prevails, strongest in northern areas, turning southwesterly with time. Areas of rain across western regions gradually fading across Wales & northwest England, and the heaviest rain easing in western Scotland. Staying cloudy in western areas, with the best of sunshine toward the south and east, and feeling warmer again here. Highs 13 to 16C north/west, 18 to 22C Midlands & southeast.


Monday
High pressure extends across Britain from the south, producing a dry and warm day for many places, with broken cloud and sunny spells, the best of these in the south and east. Light winds and coastal sea breezes. For Scotland and Ireland, a southwesterly breeze will be stronger, with cloudier skies and a risk o patchy rain in western areas. Temperatures generally up to 17 to 22C, and locally 25C in the Home Counties.
