Low pressure brings a wet morning over most of the UK. The heaviest rain in southern Scotland, northern England, the Midlands, eastern and southern England this morning. Conditions may become drier for a time in parts of eastern Wales ahead of further heavy rain reaching the west. Showers and plenty of cloud in Ireland. Windy, strongest int he east. This afternoon sees the heaviest rain spreading through central and northern Scotland. More rain in western England and Wales with the risk of some heavy rain for northern and western Scotland too. Drier in the far south and west or Ireland. Windy for all. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Wednesday Night
Rain clears east during the first part of tonight with a few hours of drier weather for most. It is likely to be staying breezy. More rain arrives through southern Ireland, reaching Wales and southern England as well as northwest England later tonight. Temperatures falling to 1C in central Scotland, mainly 4 to 7C elsewhere.
 

Thursday
Low pressure to the west of Ireland on Thursday with higher pressure east of the UK. A front will be bringing an area of rain from northern England and southern Scotland through Wales and southwest England. The rain could be heavy in the west. Drier in central, eastern and southern England with cloud breaking and a few bright or sunny spells breaking through. More drier weather in northern Scotland and Ireland with isolated showers here. Chilly in Scotland, northwest England, Wales and Ireland at 7 to 10C, milder for the rest of England at 12 to 14C.

Friday
A front passing east on Friday brings rain to eastern parts of Scotland and England early on Friday morning. At the same time an area of windy and wet weather blows into Ireland and the west of the UK. This wind and rain spreads east through the rest of the UK and Ireland, except northern Scotland, with gales on coasts and the rain turning heavy, especially around western and southern coasts and hills. Tending to turn showery in Ireland in the afternoon with some brighter weather arriving here too. Temperatures at 9 to 13C.
