Broken cloud through this morning, some bright or sunny spells developing in central and eastern areas. Thicker cloud and some drizzle in western Scotland and the far west of Ireland. This afternoon sees further outbreaks of drizzle and light rain over central and western Scotland as well as the north and west of Ireland. Dry for other areas. Highs at 21 to 28C in England, 23C in Wales, 21C in eastern Scotland, 23C in central Ireland and 14C in western Scotland.

Thursday Night
Broken cloud through England, Wales and southern Ireland tonight. Rain for western Ireland and much of Scotland, most of this affecting western Scotland. Low cloud settling over the hills of western Scotland too. Lows near 15C in southeast England, 10C in northern Scotland.
 

Friday
A hot day across much of England, Wales and the far south of Ireland. High pressure brings dry conditions to these areas as well. There will be a fair amount of cloud, but some bright or sunny spells. Thicker cloud and stronger winds in Scotland and the northern half of Ireland. Rain in Scotland and the north and west of Ireland, slipping into northern England and central Ireland by late morning and early afternoon, fading as it heads south. Drier, fresher weather follows to central and northern Scotland. Highs at 33C in southeast England, widely 24 to 28C, 24C in southern Ireland and a cooler 15 to 17C in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Saturday
A front lying west to east through England, Wales and southern Ireland. This brings cloud and some thundery outbreaks of rain here. It is currently unclear where most of the rain will be, and so there is still much uncertainty. It is likely that the rain is light at first and then becomes steadier through the day. Perhaps staying drier in the far south. Breezy in southern areas as well as being very warm. Cooler for Scotland and the north of Ireland as well as northern England. Some sunny spells here but also showers. A risk of some thundery rain in northern England. Highs at 14 to 16C for most, but to a muggy 28C in the far south.
