Wednesday
A warm morning for many with broken cloud and sunny spells, best of these in England, Wales and central parts of Ireland. More cloud always affects much of Scotland and western Ireland, perhaps with a few spots of drizzle on western coasts and hills in these areas. Other parts will be dry with good spells of sunshine and should be warm too. Temperatures could top 28C in the sunshine in southeast England, more generally 21 to 23C, and 17C in the cloudier parts of the west.

Wednesday Night
A dry night ahead for most of the UK with clear skies. There will be some low cloud drifting into western Scotland from time to time, perhaps with some drizzle in the Hebrides. Thicker cloud over Ireland, some drizzle in the west, slowly spreading eastwards through the night. Some of this drizzle reaching western wales and southwest England later. Lows near 10 to 13C.
 

Thursday
Some thundery showers developing in England and Wales on Thursday morning. These will be spreading eastwards and could become heavy at times in the Midlands, southern and eastern England as well as central Scotland. It will be fresher and brighter in Ireland during the morning, this brighter, fresher weather arriving in the west of Scotland, Wales and western England in the afternoon. Highs at 26C in southeast England, 20C in Ireland and 15C in northern Scotland.

Friday
gales in northern and western areas on Friday, these affecting the whole of Ireland too. A deep area of low pressure to the northwest of Ireland drives fronts and their cloud and rain into northern and western Scotland. A few spots of rain for England and Wales, but then mostly breezy, fresh and dry, although a few showers affecting western coasts and hills. Further showers in Ireland during the afternoon, but some brightness here too, especially in the south. Highs at 22C in southeast England, turning cooler elsewhere at 16 to 18C.
