Very warm again Tuesday
Becoming fresher, some rain

Tuesday
A cold front moves in from the Atlantic, bringing fresher conditions to the north and west. A spell of rain for Ireland and western Scotland, and a little rain also moves into Wales and western England, but fading into the afternoon. Sunny spells for the Midlands, south and east, but cloud building. A few local thundery showers may trigger off in central-eastern England by afternoon. Highs 13 to 16C north & west, but reaching 22 to 25C again in the Midlands & east, locally 27C.

Tuesday night
Any residual bursts of rain will clear off into the North Sea in the early part of the night, leaving most places dry as pressure builds a little from the south-west. Fresher air will extend across the country. Local mist patches forming in low-lying areas. Winds mostly light, but south to southwesterlies will freshen for Ireland as fronts return from the west. Turning damp before dawn for Ireland. Lows 5 to 8C, locally cooler north, chance of slight frost Scottish glens.

Wednesday
Low pressure centred toward the north-west pushes fronts in from the Atlantic. Rain spreads across Ireland, and edges into western Britain through the day, turning wetter by evening. Central and eastern Britain likely staying dry all day. Sunshine becoming hazy, then overcast from the west. Light winds for many, but southerly winds strengthening in the west - risk of gales for the Western Isles. Highs 10 to 15C north & west, 17C Midlands, up to 22C south-east.

Thursday
High pressure builds across the south, resulting in dry weather for many. Sunny spells and variable cloud. A few showers are likely, these mainly affecting western Scotland, but will locally pop up for central and eastern Britain through the day. Winds mostly light from the west or south-west. Breezy around coasts. Fresher than previous days, highs 16 to 19C south and east, 12 to 15C north & west.
