Wednesday
A generally unsettled day for the north and the west. Rain will spread northeastwards across Ireland and Northern Ireland during the morning before clearing from the southwest with sunny spells developing. Northwest England and Wales will also see rain with heavy and more persistent spells at times. Patchy rain confined to southern Scotland first thing will become widespread across the country as the day progresses. Largely dry elsewhere but more in the way of cloud about with some patchy light rain across southwest England. The best of the sunshine in the southeast of England. Highs of around 19C in the north and warming up in the southeast with highs around 26C.


Wednesday night
Overnight, rain in the north and west will move into more central and eastern areas of the UK before gradually clearing off over the North Sea. Mostly dry conditions will come about thereafter and through the early hours of Thursday, although expect some patchy light rain and drizzle across southern and western parts. Lows at 15C in the south and 10C further north.
 


Thursday
Across England and Wales expect sunny spells and showers, these showers potentially turning into longer spells of rain over parts of the Midlands through the day. It will be a largely dry and fine morning for many aross Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. Through the afternoon however cloud will build, particularly in the west, with scattered showers developing. Northern Scotland and southeast England look to remain dry throughout the day seeing the best of the sunshine. Southern places will be very warm with highs at 29C, even 30C in the southeast. Temperatures around 22C further north and west.


Friday 07/08/20
A dry, fine and hot day across central and southern England although the southwest and Wales will see cloudier skies and some patchy outbreaks of rain. After a largely dry start further north and west, rain will gradually spread across much of Ireland and Northern Ireland before clearing with sunshine developing behind. The rain will soon affect western parts of Scotland while eastern areas will remain largely dry but cloudy. Temperatures in low 30s across southern and eastern England and highs around 23C further north and 21C over Ireland and Northern Ireland.
