Monday
Low pressure is centred over the north of Scotland on Monday which will lead to a cloudy start to the day for much of the country. Rain overnight will mostly have cleared away first thing though some spots of rain may linger for the northern half of Scotland and southeast England. Rain will mostly clear to the east through the early part of the afternoon to leave a mixture of cloudy skies and sunny spells with the best of the brightness across southern Scotland and the north of England. A windy day for northwestern areas and eastern coasts. Highs at a milder 4 to 10C.

Monday Night
Clear skies for many through Monday night though it will stay cloudy for Ireland, Wales and the southwest of England. A band of thicker cloud will start to move in from the west by the early part of the morning. Mostly dry too though the island of Ireland will see rain develop through the early hours as a front pushes in from the Atlantic. Overnight lows will drop to 2 to 6C, colder over higher ground.

Tuesday
A frosty start for many on Tuesday before a low pressure system to the northwest sends a frontal system across the UK and Ireland. It will be a mostly cloudy day with rain for most areas with the exceptions of eastern Scotland and northeastern England. Strong winds too for the northern half of the country, reaching gale force for northwestern Ireland and western and northern parts of Scotland. High temperatures at 5 to 12C.

Wednesday
Low pressure is off to the northwest on Wednesday bringing a mixed day of sunny spells and showers. Showers will be mainly focussed in western areas and the southeast of England. Parts of Scotland could see these showers merging to form more prolonged spells of rain and they may turn wintry over higher ground. Breezy for the island of Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 4 to 9C.
