Thundery bursts of rain in East Anglia and southeast England this morning. Plenty of mist and murk here too. Cloudier in northern and western areas and rather misty here as well with some drizzle on hills. A band of showery rain affects western Scotland and western Ireland, showers in the east. This afternoon sees rain pulling away into the North SEa with most areas of England, Wales and eastern Scotland becoming brighter and drier with just scattered showers. Further cloud and showery rain in western Scotland and in central and western Ireland. Highs at 19C in southeast England, 14C in western Scotland.

Wednesday Night
Showers in the north and west overnight, Most of the showers will be scattered in western England and Wales, although heavier and more frequent showers affecting western Scotland. Eastern parts of Scotland and England should be drier although some patchy rain may affect parts of Kent. Becoming windy in western Scotland. Lows near 5 to 11C.
 

Thursday
Low pressure will be to the north of Scotland on Thursday. There will be frequent and heavy showers in western Scotland. Sunny spells and showers for Ireland and eastern Scotland. Further showers in England and Wales, most of them to the west. Best of the sunny spells to the east. Highs at a chilly 12C in western Scotland and western Ireland, 21C in southeast England.
 

Friday
Low pressure stays to the north of Scotland on Friday, higher pressure to the south. Showers, mostly in northern Scotland, will be blowing from west to east. Fewer showers in England, Wales and Ireland with longer spells of sunshine here. Breezy in northern Scotland with tops at 11C in northern Scotland, 20C in southeast England.
