Friday
A fine start to the day for many with good spells of sunshine. A brisk southeast wind affecting many western and southern areas, although still feeling warm for most. Low cloud may affect eastern coasts at first, but these will be burning away fairly quickly. More cloud in southern and western Ireland, the chance of some drizzle affecting southern coasts and hills. Little changes into the afternoon with further spots of drizzle in western and southern Ireland. Fine with lots of sunshine in Northern Ireland and much of England, Scotland and Wales. A warm day, but feeling cooler on eastern coasts. Highs at 26C in western Scotland, 23 to 24C in much of the west of England and Wales. Cooler to the east at 18C on eastern coasts.

Friday Night
Showery outbreaks of rain passing through Ireland on Friday night. These spots of rain reaching western Scotland, southwest Wales and the far southwest of England by the morning. Dry and fair with clear skies to the east. The winds will be easing. A humid night for many with lows of 14 to 17C.
 

Saturday
A change from hot air to the east, to warm air which is in the west through Saturday. The boundary between the two areas will be a cold front which will be edging eastern bringing showery bursts of rain into the west of the UK on Saturday morning. Fine and hot ahead of this front, the warmest in the east and southeast. Fresher weather reaching Ireland in the morning with sunny spells and scattered showers, this brighter weather into the west of the UK later. A chance of some thunderstorms developing in northern England and Scotland in the evening. Tending to be dry in the far south of England. Highs at 30C in southeast England, 22C in Ireland.

Sunday
Low pressure to the north of Scotland on Sunday. A fresher, westerly flow brings sunshine and showers, most of these to the north and west. A few of the showers could be heavy in western areas, especially over northern and western Scotland. Southern and eastern parts of England are likely to be mainly dry with the best of the sunshine here. Windy in Scotland and Northern Ireland with a risk of gales in the north and west. Highs at a cooler 15 to 18C in northern and western areas, but 21 to 23C in the east and south of England.
