Tuesday
A cool start to Tuesday morning across northeast Scotland and eastern England, although cloud rapidly thickening and winds increasing. Starting wet across Ireland and much of the west of the British Isles, the rain then spreading east through the morning. Rain could be heavy in the west with a risk of snow over the hills of Scotland. Widespread gales developing with winds in excess of 60mph over western and southern coasts and hills, gusts to 50mph inland. Conditions remains wet and windy in the afternoon with the heaviest rain in the west. Eastern areas tending to become a little more drizzly but remaining windy. Temperatures reaching 12C in southern England, 8C in northern Scotland by evening.

Tuesday Night
Th heavier rain clears eastwards overnight, although it will be the early hours before it clears the Kent coast. Heavy showers for western Scotland and staying windy here. Drier in Ireland with some clearer skies, showers on the west. Becoming drier for other areas, not as windy, although still breezy in northern England. Lows at 2 to 6C for most.
 

Wednesday
Low pressure remains to the north of Scotland on Wednesday. Heavy showers affecting western areas , some of them thundery and of hail. Fewer showers in more central and eastern areas. There will be snow over the hills of Scotland. Further showers ion western Ireland, perhaps merging to longer spells of rain, but drier and brighter in the east. A breezy day for all, windy in the west. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 8C in southern England.

Thursday
Low pressure to the west of Scotland on Thursday. Fronts pass east taking cloud and outbreaks of rain with them. Most of the rain affecting western areas. Plenty of low cloud and drizzle over hils and coasts, especially in England and Wales. The rain most persistent in southern Scotland. Brighter weather with showers follows into western Scotland and Ireland, the showers heavy in the west. Windy in the south with some gales for some. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.
