Wednesday
High pressure remains west of Scotland. Again, rather extensive cloud cover to start the day but western regions seeing some sunny spells develop. Eastern regions of England and Scotland are likely to see the more continual NE'ly pull of cloud and possible drizzle, particularly through the morning. Highs at 17 to 23C, warmest across western areas.

 

Wednesday night
Overnight, low cloud becoming extensive again, particularly across eastern and southeastern regions of England where it could be thick enough to bring light rain and drizzle to some parts. Some clearer skies towards the far west and northwest of Scotland where lows in places could drop to 7 to 8C but for most lows will be between 9 to 13C.
 

Thursday
High pressure centred across Scotland on Thursday. Rather extensive cloud cover to start the day once again, although sun will shine for some northwestern regions. Cloud should break up in the west mostly as the day progresses. Low cloud and possible drizzle still expected down eastern regions as well as through southern English counties in the morning but cloud should gradually thin for some through the day. An easterly breeze for southern England. Highs at 17 to 24C.

Friday
High pressure centre slides to the east of Scotland on Friday. It continues to bring settled conditions for most and mainly dry. Less of a NE'ly drag of moisture as winds relax here giving perhaps more scope for widespread sunshine. Highs at 17 to 25C.
