Wednesday
An area of heavy and thundery rain tracks northwards through most of England and eastern Wales through today. The rain could lead to some surface flooding in places. Drier for the far east of East Anglia and southeast England until this afternoon when the rain arrives. Northwest England and western Wales as well as most of central and eastern Scotland should be dry with sunny spells. Showers over Ireland and western Scotland, but some sunny spells here as well. The heavy rai reaches northeast England this afternoon.


Wednesday Night
An area of rain clears from eastern England overnight. Drier weather follows from the west with some clearer skies too. Showers affect western Scotland and western Ireland although these will be scattered. Lows near 3 to 8C.

 
 
 


Thursday
Low pressure dominates on Thursday across the UK and Ireland. There will be sunny spells for many in the morning. Showers affecting Ireland and western Scotland as well as western England and Wales. Showers occur elsewhere through the afternoon, most of them to the west. The showers will be thundery and heaviest in Ireland and western England as well as northeast Scotland. Highs at 13 to 19C.


Friday
Low pressure is going to be across the UK and Ireland on Friday. There will be some sunny spells in the morning but showers will soon get going. The afternoon sees some widespread and heavy showers these thundery at times with a risk of hail. The heaviest of the showers could produce some short-term localised flooding. Highs at 14 to 17C.
