Rain on and off
Breezy, but fairly humid

Friday
Rain affects much of north and western Britain as fronts sweep in from the Atlantic. Some heavy and prolonged falls over the hills in the west. Cloudy skies for most places, with the best of any sunshine in the southeast where it stays dry most of the day. A little drizzly rain affects south & southwestern coasts. A breezy day with strongest southwest winds near Irish Sea coasts. Highs 16 to 21C.

Friday night
Rain continues to stream in across western Britain and Ireland, heaviest over hills of Wales and western England. Rain also extends across south and central Scotland through the night. Patchy rain almost anywhere, smallest amounts in the east of England and far north of Scotland. Extensive hill fog in the west and southwest. Breezy for the southern half of Britain. Mild overall, lows 12 to 15C.

Saturday
A series of fronts extend across the country, with areas of persistent rain, heavy at times, particularly over western hills of Wales. Drier toward eastern counties of England. Mostly cloudy skies. Showery rain across Scotland and Ireland, sometimes setting in. Strongest southwesterly winds toward the south of Britain. Feeling quite humid, and fairly warm away from rain, highs 17 to 21C.

Sunday
A blustery day as brisk westerlies affect the British Isles. Low pressure lies to the northwest driving showery bursts of rain across the country, most frequent in western Scotland and Ireland. A mix of sunshine and heavy showers across England and Wales. Some areas escaping drier for several hours through the day. Top temperatures 19 to 22C in the Midlands and southeast, 14 to 17C north and west.
