Increasing cloud in western parts of the UK with outbreaks of drizzle and rain. The rain becoming heavy in the west of Scotland. Tending to turn brighter in the far west of Ireland. Breezy in Ireland and Scotland. Temperatures at 22C in southeast England, 15C in western Scotland.

Tuesday Night
A band of rain passes east through the UK and Ireland overnight. Most of the rain affecting western coasts and hills. Drier weather and clearer skies follow through Scotland, Ireland and into northwest England later in the night. Showers in northern and western Ireland as well as the west of Scotland. Lows at 11 to 14C in southern England, 6C in Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Wednesday
A cold front clears southeast England on Wednesday morning taking periods of rain with it. Low pressure pushes heavy showers or longer spells of rain into Scotland and the north and west of Ireland. Scattered showers in western parts of England and Wales. Sunnier spells and drier to the east. Highs at 19C in southeast England, 10C in northern Scotland where there will be gales.

Thursday
A warm front moving east through Scotland and Northern Ireland bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most in the west. A few showers in eastern England at first, these fading. Most of the rest of the UK and Ireland should be dry with broken cloud. Mist and fog patches in western and southern Ireland. Highs at 13 to 18C.
