Monday
A chilly start to the day. An area of rain across parts of Cornwall is expected to clear away by the afternoon as will the morning showers across northern Scotland. Apart from a few showers near the coasts of north east England, much of Britain will have a dry day. Best of the day's sunshine may be across Wales into the Midlands and north west England. A brisk north west wind will take the edge off of maximum temperatures of 7 to 10 Celsius.

Monday Night
It stays quite breezy for the evening and the night. In the evening a band of showers may lie from north east England down into south east England, these mainly light and well scattered. Showers will also affect western Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. A dry night to come across Britain. With clear skies and lighter winds across western and northern parts of the country, expect a frost. Expect minimum temperatures of 1 to 4 Celsius.

Tuesday
A front spreads rain in across Northern Ireland and south west England during the morning. This rain is expected to spread into Scotland, northern England and Wales during the afternoon. Here the winds strengthen from the south. The Midlands and eastern parts of England will become cloudy but stay dry. A very windy and wet evening and night to come but a milder night. The rain will be heaviest across Scotland and northern England. Expect high temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius.

Wednesday
Windy and mild for Wednesday. A front in the channel may bring rain and drizzle into the far south of England and South Wales, perhaps south of the M4 Corridor. Scattered showers to affect western parts of Scotland. Best of the sunshine should be to the east of high ground across north east England. Some rain may linger near the channel coast and across south west England and Wales tonight. Dry and windy to the north. Look for high temperatures of 9 to 14 Celsius.
