Plenty of cloud
Drizzly north & west

Tuesday
A cloudy morning over much of the UK and Ireland. There will be drizzle affecting northern and western parts of England and Wales as well as the north and west of Ireland. Drier to the east and south with some sunny spells in southern England. The rain tends to fade into Tuesday afternoon from northern areas, although there could still be some spots of rain over the high ground of the far north of Ireland and western Scotland. Elsewhere it's dry with some bright spells to the south and east. Highs at 17 to 21C.

Tuesday Night
Patchy rain and drizzle in western Scotland overnight, perhaps more persistent for a time in the far northwest of Highland region. For the rest of the UK and Ireland it should be a dry night. Thicker cloud in Ireland and across northwest England, but some clearer skies coming through elsewhere. Lows at 7 to 10C.

Wednesday
An area of high pressure builds to the east of the UK through Wednesday. This is going to be bringing a warm day to much of England, Wales, eastern Ireland and eastern Scotland. Cloud breaks with sunny spells and feeling very warm in places too. A warm front over western Scotland brings more cloud here with drizzle and outbreaks of rain in the north and west as well as the far west of Ireland. Highs at 16 to 25C.

Thursday
A more mixed day on Thursday with fronts passing east through all areas. These bring outbreaks of rain with them, most in the west of Wales, England and Scotland as well as much of Ireland. The southern third of England and southern Wales should be mostly dry, Lots of low cloud and fog on western coasts and hills too. Highs at 16 to 24C.
