A weak front is passing through the country today bringing mor cloud to many areas than recently. There could be some patchy drizzle over the hills of Wales, northwest England and western Scotland as well as the hills of Ireland. It may be that some spots of drizzle or showers could affect the Midlands in the afternoon. Brighter spells breaking through across parts of northern England and eastern England as well as Ireland in the afternoon. The best sunshine in southern areas of England. Highs at 25C in southern England, more widely 13 to 18C in the cloudier areas.

Tuesday Night
Cloud through tonight over southern Ireland, Wales, central and southern parts of England. A few spots of rain here and there. Broken cloud in northern areas and staying dry here, although some passing showers in Orkney and Shetland. Light winds overall but breezier along northern coasts of Scotland. Lows at a mild 14C in southern areas, 5C further north.
 

Wednesday
High pressure remains on Wednesday. Weak fronts bringing some cloud across much of Ireland, drizzle and low cloud on western coasts and hills. Further cloud in central and eastern England, although this breaks with bright or sunny spells developing. For most areas the day is dry with sunny spells with little change during the day. Light winds. Temperatures at 25C in southeast England, widely 19 to 22C, 16C in central Scotland.

Thursday
High pressure is dominating the whole of the country again on Thursday, centred to the east. Cloud associated with a warm front affecting central and northern Scotland and this could bring a few spots of rain and drizzle. For the rest of the UK and Ireland the day is going to be dry with sunshine, the best across central and southern England and Wales. Increasing cloud in Ireland. Highs at 22 to 25C in the sunshine, 22C in Ireland, 15C in northern Scotland.
