Occasional showers
Cold and windy

Sunday
A colder day to come across Britain and brisk north to north west winds will make it feel colder. An area of showery rain across western Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and into central southern England in the morning tends to fizzle out during the afternoon. Sunny spells across the north develop through the Midlands. Elsewhere expect lots of cloud. Later in the afternoon and area of heavy showers will affect the eastern coasts of England and Scotland. Expect maximum temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius.

Sunday Night
It becomes less windy through the evening and the night. A rash of showers across those eastern coasts of England and Scotland in the evening become fewer overnight. For most parts of Britain it's going to be a dry evening and night with clear skies. A colder night to come with minimum temperatures of 0 to 4 Celsius allowing for a frost away from East Anglia and the south east where we keep more wind.

Monday
It's a cold start across Britain. Lots of crisp, morning sunshine across England and Wales. A dry day here with more in the way of cloud in the afternoon. East Anglia, The East Midlands and the far south should keep the best of the sunshine. A front spreads outbreaks of rain in across Northern Ireland and Scotland where it will be very windy. In the evening that rain reaches northern parts of England and Wales. Cloudy and breezy in the night with light rain across parts of western Britain. A milder night tonight. Temperatures are expected to be below normal by day with highs of 5 to 8 Celsius north to south.

Tuesday
A milder, misty and murky day to come. Sporadic outbreaks of patchy, light rain and drizzle to come across Northern Ireland, England and Wales. Very misty around western coasts and across west facing hills. Apart from showers in the north west, Scotland looks dry with sunnier spells. Clear spells develop across Scotland along with eastern and northern parts of England. A frost develops across north east Britain. Western areas stay cloudy with patches of drizzly rain and mildest here. Expect highs of 7 to 10 Celsius.
