Mostly dry, sunny spells
Rain northwest later

Tuesday
A warm and fair morning across most of the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. It is going to be dry and there will be increasingly cloud across England and Wales, feeling muggy here as well. The best sunshine in Scotland and Northern Ireland, although scattered showers may develop over the hills of Scotland by late afternoon. At the same time some thunderstorms drift into southern coasts of England, these becoming more intense in the evening as they head north. Temperatures at 22 to 29C.


Tuesday Night
A band of thundery rain spreads north through Ireland, Wales, southern and central England overnight. However, these will become increasingly scattered through England and Wales as the night progresses with some areas staying dry. Eastern Scotland is likely to have some drizzle. but most of the country stays dry. An increasing southeast wind for all. Lows at 10 to 19C.
 


Wednesday
An area of low pressure passes north through the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. This takes an area of cloud and rain with it, some of this heavy at times. The rain is going to be fairly broken in nature and some some areas seeing significant rain totals whilst others see less. The focus for most rain is likely to run north either side of the Pennines and into the west of Scotland. Drier weather follows into southern and central England and Wales as well as Ireland, although staying rather cloudy in these places for much of the day. Highs at 27C in East Anglia, but a fresher 19 to 23C for most.


Thursday
Low pressure remains to the northwest of Ireland on Thursday. This brings some wet and windy weather into Ireland, with this reaching western Scotland later. There may be some cloud and showery rain in the far southeast at first, although this clearing. Dry for most with sunny spells throughout the day. Temperatures at 17 to 24C.
