Mostly dry, some sunshine
Cloudy south, murky south-west

Wednesday
High pressure brings a dry and bright day for many. However across south-western Britain, a warm front produces largely cloudy skies, and a little drizzle. Chance of an isolated shower inland by afternoon. Mist and murk for coasts & hills in the south-west. Sunny spells in the north & east, but fairly cloudy in Scottish Highlands. Light winds overall. A southerly breeze in the west. Highs 16 to 21C, warmest central & eastern areas.

Wednesday night
Dry overall, with broken cloud and clear spells - cloud tending to break up across southern Britain in the evening. Fronts moving in from the west bring thicker cloud to the west & north-west. Spots of rain around western coasts. Rain turns persistent in the west of Ireland. Light south to south-easterly winds, but freshening around western coasts. Lows 9 and 12C, locally cooler in rural areas of Scotland.

Thursday
Remaining fair across much of England & Wales, with a good amount of sunshine breaking through for many. Cloud will tend to thicken in the west as a front encroaches in from the Atlantic. Outbreaks of rain arriving for west & south-west Scotland. Rain more persistent across Ireland. Strengthening southerly winds, although staying very light in the south-east. Highs 15 to 18C north & west, 21 to 25C Midlands, south & east.

Friday
A slack pressure regime is likely to exist across the British Isles, whilst a front pushes in from the west. Warm and humid air across the south & south-east, but fresher toward the north & west. A lot of cloud overall, and outbreaks of rain, which may locally turn heavy and persistent. Some thundery bursts may develop across southern areas. Light winds. Temepratures 16 to 19C north, 22 to 25C south.
