High pressure to the north of Scotland bringing an east to northeast flow over the UK and Ireland. A cool day with a touch of morning frost in central Scotland. There will be showers down eastern coasts, some of these spreading through southern and southeast England too. Sunny spells about but cloud looks likely to build again particularly across more northern and eastern areas. Best of the sunshine in Ireland but some showers could be affecting eastern coasts. Highs of 9 to 12C but at 13C in southern England.

Friday Night
This evening and the first part of the night, scattered showers affecting mainly eastern coasts of northern England and Scotland. Rather a lot of cloud about but some clear spells too, best of these in the south and west. Emphasis on showers shifting more across Northern Ireland, southwest England and parts of north and west Wales later on in the night as well as down eastern coasts and over northern Scotland. Lows around 3C under clearer skies, 8C in cloud.

Saturday
A slack pressure flow over the UK and Ireland on Saturday. There will be areas of broken cloud with plenty of dry conditions about. Some showers still affecting eastern areas and the far north of Scotland. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain in southern Ireland and southwest England. Some sunshine to come in western Scotland and perhaps western parts of Wales. Highs at 9 to 13C.

Sunday
It will be a rather cloudy day for many with best of any sunshine across Ireland and parts of Wales as high pressure still remains in charge. Largely dry but the risk of a few scattered showers over the hills of northern England and Scotland. There is even the chance for fog and mist patches to linger over parts of central and southern England under those slack winds. Patchy outbreaks of rain expected to move in across northern Scotland by the end of the day. Highs at 9 to 13C.
