Sunday
Showery rain drifts eastward across Scotland in the early hours, tending to clear away for scattered showers and sunny spells. Eastern Scotland from Perthshire to Caithness sees a risk of afternoon thunderstorms. Some showers in northwest England with sunny spells as well. Further south, showers well scattered, most places dry, and a mix of cloud and sunshine. A generally improving trend later in the day. Highs of around 17C in the north and west, rising to 24C in the south and east.

Sunday Night
Any lingering showers of Britain largely ease overnight, just a few spots remain in north Scotland. Skies largely free of cloud in central and east areas. Cloud sticks around in west Scotland, and later returns to western England and Wales. Ireland has a cloudier night, rain soon arriving into northwest areas and spreading widely into the later hours. Lows of 6 to 11C for most, staying near 12C or milder Ireland, particularly west coast.

Monday
Low pressure centred to the west of the Hebrides will bring a cloudy and unsettled day with rain and strengthening winds; southeast England gets a bright start, but not for long. Rain probably fairly widespread by midday and heavy at times across central and western areas. The far southeast is likely to remain largely dry until later with only patchy rain reaching here, though this may become heavier towards evening. Temperatures generally reaching 15 to 18C, to around 22C in East Anglia.

Tuesday
A rather cloudy start with a few showers, becoming more widespread through the morning and afternoon. Some showers may turn heavy and thundery afternoon before gradually easing during the evening; the heaviest showers are likely to stay in eastern areas. More sun will break out later in the day, and wind strengthens across Ireland and southwest Britain. Highs of 16 to 18C for most areas, slightly milder east England.
