Monday
Low pressure spreads from the south across the UK and Ireland on Monday. This brings areas of showers, some of these locally heavy and thundery, over southwestern parts of the UK and eastern Ireland. Through the afternoon these spread northward across western parts of the UK, into Scotland and Northern Ireland. Staying mostly dry for eastern and northern parts of the UK and for western parts of Ireland. Highs will range from just 18 or 19C in the north to 33 or 34C in the far southeast.

Monday Night
Showers continue to affect parts of Northern Ireland, western parts of Scotland and the northwest of England overnight from Monday into Tuesday. Elsewhere it's a dry night with the best of any clearer skies over southwest Ireland and the southeast of England. Overnight lows at a rather uncomfortable 15 to 22C for much of England, Wales and eastern Ireland; a slightly more comfortable 12 to 14C for much of Scotland, Northern Ireland and western Ireland.

Tuesday
Tuesday sees the continuation of showers over northern and western parts of the UK while much of Ireland, England, Wales and eastern Scotland start the day dry with some spells of sunshine. Through the afternoon some localised heavier showers are expected to develop over western areas, especially to the north of England, and these spread to the north and east through the late afternoon and evening. Hot still in the south and southeast with highs at 35C. Cooler to the north at just 19 or 20C.

Wednesday
A rather unsettled day across the UK and Ireland. Early thundery showers clear east from England and Scotland to leave a mixed morning with some spells of sunshine and isolated showers for many. Further thunderstorms develop later over England and Wales, these locally bringing very heavy rain. Staying brighter elsewhere across the UK and Ireland with good spells of sunshine and isolated showers. Highs at 18C in northern Scotland, 34C in southern England.
