Tuesday
A weakening cold front lying through northern England, Wales and the Isles of Scilly on Tuesday morning. The front gives some cloud and patchy outbreaks of rain in Northumberland, the hills of northwest England and west Wales. Fresher weather with sunny spells across Scotland and Ireland, although some showers on western coasts here. Fair for the rest of England and Wales with warm sunshine. Some cloud and showery rain arriving in eastern Wales and the northwest Midlands as well as slipping as far south as Yorkshire this afternoon. The heat may generate an afternoon thunderstorms in southeast England. Highs at 30C in southeast England, mainly 21 to 25C but 17C in western Ireland and Scotland.

Tuesday Night
Dry for most through Tuesday night. There may be a few showers at first in the east Midlands as the front continues to weaken. Scattered showers blowing into western Scotland and northwest Ireland. A muggy night for much of England with lows of 17C. Fresher in northern England, Scotland and the whole of Ireland at 8 to 10C.
 

Wednesday
The weak cold front stays over eastern England on Wednesday giving some cloud but also highlighting the area where a few isolated thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon. A further front may bring some cloud and a few spots of rain into western Ireland in the afternoon. Scattered showers in northwest Scotland. Elsewhere it is dry with sunny spells and feeling warm again too. Highs at 29C in southeast England, 18C in western Scotland and western Ireland.

Thursday
Low pressure to the west of Ireland and Scotland on Thursday bringing the threat of some heavier rain to Ireland, this reaching western Scotland later. Dry and hot for the rest of the UK. Plenty of sunshine and just a low risk of an isolated shower forming in southeast England. Highs at 30C in southeast England, 19C in western Ireland.
