Cloud and showery bursts of rain in southern Scotland as well as the far north of Ireland on Wednesday morning. Some heavy showers in the far south of Ireland and southwest England with a risk of thunderstorms. Drier for other areas with isolated showers and some bright spells. Showers becoming more widespread during the day with heavy showers and thunderstorms focused across central and northern England as well as Wales and the southwest. The rain and cloud in central Scotland, although drier in the far north. Some cloud and rain too for the Shetland Isles. Highs at a warm 22C in eastern England, 18C in western England, Ireland and western Wales

Wednesday Night
Showers or longer spells of rain in Ireland, Wales and southwest England tonight. Cloud and some showery rain too for the far north of Scotland. In other areas the showers will be fading with some clear spells developing, although still some isolated showers here and there. Lows near 8 to 11C.
 

Thursday
Low pressure over the British Isles on Thursday. Heavy, frequent showers for much of England, Wales and Ireland. The showers could be torrential at times and may lead to localised flooding. Some rain and showers too in northeast England, drifting into the south and east of Scotland during the day. Drier in the far north and west of Scotland with some clear spells developing. Highs at 22C in southern England, 16 to 18C in Scotland, Ireland and the west of the UK.

Friday
Low pressure remains over the British Isles on Friday. Rain in eastern Scotland and the far north of England. Showers for the rest of England and Wales, some of them thundery. Tending to be drier in the far north and west of Scotland, with the showers fading from Ireland. Later in the day showers wil be fading from the west of Wales and western England too. Highs near 17C in the east, 21C in the south.
