Easterly winds bring cloudy skies across much of Britain, with rain on and off in eastern regions. Locally persistently damp conditions for a few hours. Little rain reaching western areas. Sunshine best toward west Wales. Dry for much of Ireland. Mild in any sunshine, but pegged back in rain, between 8 and 15C, locally 18C south.

 


Sunday night
Fairly cloudy skies plus an easterly breeze prevents frost for many places. A little rain or drizzle will continue to move in from the east. Best chance of cloud breaks toward the north & northwest. Low temperatures 5 to 8C, locally 2C or below in Scottish Highlands.
 


Monday
A front will extend across central-southern England and Wales, with cloudy skies and patchy rain. Amounts generally small, but may linger over a few hours locally. Best sunshine toward the west and northwest. A fresh easterly breeze. Cool in the northeast, mild if sun breaks through elsewhere. Highs 9 to 15.
 


Tuesday
A zone of rain is expected to lie across central England and Wales, and may persist over many hours locally. Overcast skies for many central and eastern districts. Dry for much of Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland. Best sunshine in western Scotland. Cool east, milder west; highs 7 to 14C.
