Dry, sunny spells
Frosty south tonight

Tuesday
Breezy over the far south of England, chilly in that wind but with some good spells of sunshine. For most other areas it should be dry with some bright or sunny spells. Always the risk of some more cloud over eastern areas. Thicker cloud too in the north and west of Scotland, some spots of drizzle on and off throughout the day. Fairly cloudy in Ireland too, but staying dry. Highs at 7 to 11C.

Tuesday Night
Dry over much of the country with a frost in more southern areas. Cloud is going to be broken across northern England and Scotland, a few showers in northern and western Scotland. Further showers in northern and western Ireland, these are only going to be light and scattered. Lows at -1C in the south. 4C in western Scotland.

Wednesday
High pressure will be centred over western Ireland on Wednesday. There will be some showery outbreaks of rain in northern and western Scotland. Isolated showers over the coasts of northwest England too. Elsewhere it should be dry but with a fair amount of cloud. The best sunshine in the far south of England, and also through Shetland and Orkney where it stays windy. Highs at 9 to 11C.

Thursday
Low pressure off Shetland on Thursday. There will be cloud and rain here, a risk of gales. There will be showers too in western Scotland, north and west Wales as well as western England. Further showers and outbreaks of rain in Ireland. Drier for southern England as well as eastern Scotland and eastern England where there will be a few bright spells. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 12C in the south of England.
