Clearer skies over southern parts of the UK and Ireland. A chilly night with overnight lows ranging from -1 to 2C for most, cold enough for a frost to form in more sheltered spots.

A band of patchy rain spreads south over Scotland through the day; eastern areas may see some heavier bursts. Sunshine and broken cloud for England, Ireland and Wales. Light winds, typically northwesterlies across northern Britain. A chilly start with frost in many rural areas. Highs of 10 to 13C.
