Cold weather dominates
Wintry showers in places, otherwise cold and sunny

Wednesday
Overall little change into Wednesday as a N or NE'ly wind dominates bringing further wintry showers around some northern, western and eastern areas of the British Isles, with snow possible to increasingly low levels as well. Many inland areas will, however, maintain plenty of dry weather with some sunshine after another morning frost. Highs around 3C to 6C at best.

Wednesday night
A cold night for many areas, most likely the coldest night of the week with a widespread frost and this locally quite a significant or harsh frost too. Wintry showers will continue around the periphery of the British Isles, perhaps espeically so across some eastern areas of England with some slight snow accumulations are possible. Lows around -4C to +1C.

Thursday
The cold weather will continue into Thursday as a N'ly wind continues to dominate. Wintry showers will again be in evidence through the day around the periphery of the British Isles, especially across parts of W Wales, SW England and across eastern areas of England where further accumulations are possible away from coastal areas. A particularly cold wind, this moderate or fresh and highs around 2C to 6C at best.

Thursday night
Another cold night for many on Thursday night with a fairly widespread frost once again along with some wintry showers, especially across parts of E England where these will again be wintry away from coastal areas. Later in the night less cold, cloudy and damp weather may begin to approach northern and western Scotland. Lows around -3C to +2C.
