Tuesday
A fair amount of cloud around much of England, Wales and Ireland today. There will be some spots of rain and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills. More eastern areas will be brighter with the cloud being broken and some sunny spells coming through. Breezier for Scotland with showers, some heavy, most in the north and west. Drier in the south and east of Scotland with sunny spells lasting throughout the day here. Highs at a warm 16C in southeast England, 9C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday Night
A cloudy night across England, Wales and Ireland. There will be some patchy rain over the hills of Wales, the Midlands and southern Pennines as well as southern Ireland. Mostly dry elsewhere with some breaks in the coud in the far south. Clearer periods coming through across Scotland, although staying breezy with some heavy showers in the far north. Lows at 2 to 5C for many but 10C in southwest England.

Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure builds through the south of the UK on Wednesday. A warm front passes northeast across Scotland and Wales. This is going to be bringing cloud and some spots of drizzle, most on western coasts and hills. The thicker cloud arriving in western Scotland and northwest England in the afternoon, again with drizzle over high ground. More eastern areas should be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 17C in any sunshine in southeast England.

Thursday
Pressure remains fairly high across the south of the country on Thursday. A cloudy southwest airmass affects much of Ireland and western Scotland as well as Wales and western England. Drizzle on the coasts and hills, but this afding with the cloud breaking. Some bright or sunny spells will be forming too, the best of them in the east where it is going to be dry. Highs at 10 to 15C.
