Wednesday
Lots of clouds around again through Wednesday morning. There will be showery bursts of rain across many areas of Wales, England and Ireland. A further band of rain crossing Scotland, mostly light and patchy. Showers, then affect western Scotland. The afternoon may see the cloud being more broken with some bright or sunny spells developing, although always low cloud affecting western and southern coasts and hills, as well as some coastal fog. Highs at 16 to 20C.

Wednesday Night
Cloud increasing tonight bringing rain and drizzle to Ireland. Drizzle and mist over western and southern coasts of England and Wales. Drier north and east at first, but the cloud increasing and outbreaks of rain developing across Scotland and northwest England. A murky end to the night for many western and northern areas with extensive hill and coastal fog. Lows at 6C in central Scotland but more widely 9 to 12C.

Thursday
A moist southwest flow affecting much of England and Wales on Thursday. This is going to be bringing low cloud, drizzle and some fog to western and southern coasts , although the cloud should break with sunny spells developing. Inland areas will be cloudy at first, but the cloud breaks quickly and sunny spells develop making it feel warm. Fronts in Scotland give rain to northern, central and western Scotland as well as central and western Ireland. Murky for coasts and hills of southern and eastern Ireland. Highs at 17C in northern Scotland, 22C in any sunshine in southeast England.

Friday
High pressure east of the UK on Friday. A front in Scotland bringing rain in the west. Low cloud and drizzle western and southern Ireland. Dry and warm England and Wales although always a threat of low cloud and drizzle over western coasts. Eastern parts of England seeing the best sunshine. In the afternoon cloud will thicken in the southwest with rain spreading to southwest England in the evening. Highs at 17C western Scotland, 19C in Ireland, 23 to 26C much of England and Wales.
