High pressure drifts over the British Isles. Mostly fine with bright or sunny spells and light winds. Morning fog patches in some low-lying areas. Some showers for a time moving in from the Irish Sea into north Wales and perhaps around Cheshire. Isolated brief light showers for central England by afternoon, but most will stay dry. Low cloud and patchy drizzle for western Scotland, sunnier toward eastern Scotland. A cool northwesterly breeze on the east coast. Highs 16 to 19C.

Monday night
Largely dry into the evening and night. Variable cloud and some clear spells forming. A weak front drifting across Scotland may bring a little rain for a time and leaves a lot of low cloud in the west. Local drizzly showers near the Irish Sea coast. Fog patches forming in some valleys and low-lying districts. Temperatures dipping to 7 to 11C, locally 5C or below in rural areas across Wales and northern England.

Tuesday
High pressure centred over southern areas maintains dry weather for many places. Variable or fairly extensive cloud with limited sunshine. Weak fronts coming in from the Atlantic brings patchy rain, drizzle and low cloud to western Ireland and northwest Scotland with a southwesterly breeze. Light winds elsewhere. Some morning fog patches in central and southern counties. A little warmer, highs reaching 20C for the Midlands, south and east, 15 to 17C north and western regions.

Wednesday
High pressure drifts east during midweek but continues to keep many areas dry across England, Wales and eastern Scotland. Damp southwesterly breezes across Scotland, western areas will see low cloud and rain or drizzle. Cloudy too for Northern Ireland with a little drizzle in the west. Early fog patches in central and southern Britain again, but a dry day with varied cloud and sun. Highs at 17 to 22C, warmest in central and southeastern England.
