Chilly, sunny west
Cloud in east

Thursday
It's a chilly morning for many with a touch of frost. Temperatures will be lifting, but the day is going to be feeling chilly throughout. There will be good spells of sunshine for many, although always the risk of some lower cloud drifting into eastern coasts of Scotland and England. Cloud too in western Ireland. That cloud drifts east ascross the rest of Ireland this afternoon. Dry with sunny spells elsewhere. Highs at 9C on eastern coasts, 12C elsewhere.

Thursday Night
A band of broken cloud affecting Scotland, northern England, Wales and Ireland overnight. It should be staying dry here. Clearer skies to the east and south and it is here where there could be a slight frost once again. Lows at -1 to 2C under the clearer skies, nearer 3 to 5C in the cloudier areas.

Friday
High pressure is to the east of the UK on Friday. This blows low cloud into East Anglia and southeast England, perhaps into northeast England too. The cloud may be thick enough to produce some spots of drizzle here too. Further west and north there will be good spells of sunshine. Broken cloud is going to be developing inland this afternoon, but still the best of the sunshine in the west. Tops at 9 to 13C.

Saturday
High pressure stays to the northeast of the UK and Ireland on Saturday. This brings a fair but cold day across much of England, eastern Wales and Scotland. Some cloud again through central and eastern England, making it feel especially chilly here. Cloudier in Ireland with the risk of some drizzle over southern and western coasts and hills. Highs around 7C along eastern coasts, 11C in the west.
